چکیده

Binary polyvinylidene fluoride/barium titanate(PVDF/BaTiO3) and its nanographite (GN) doped ternarynanocomposites were fabricated using a simple solution casting process followed by compression molding. The dielectricbehavior of such hybrids over a wide frequency range was studied. Additions of GN with contents close to the percolationthreshold were found to be very effective to enhance dielectric permittivity of the PVDF/BaTiO3 nanocomposites. In thisregard, the electrical behavior of ternary PVDF/BaTiO3/GN hybrids can be explained in terms of the percolation theory.Furthermore, both dielectric constant and electrical conductivity of hybrids were found to be strongly frequency and tem-perature dependent.

Carbon Coated Boron Nitride Nanosheets for Polymer Nanocomposites with Enhanced Dielectric Performance

Carbon coated boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs@C) hybrids with different carbon contents were synthesized by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. The content of carbon in as-obtained BNNSs@C hybrids could be precisely adjusted from 2.50% to 22.62% by controlling the carbon deposition time during the CVD procedure. Afterward, the BNNSs@C hybrids were subsequently incorporated into the polyvi...

Enhanced dielectric properties of poly(vinylidene fluoride) composites filled with nano iron oxide-deposited barium titanate hybrid particles

We report enhancement of the dielectric permittivity of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) generated by depositing magnetic iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles on the surface of barium titanate (BT) to fabricate BT-Fe3O4/PVDF composites. This process introduced an external magnetic field and the influences of external magnetic field on dielectric properties of composites were investigated systematic...

Dielectric properties of polymer composites with the addition of ferrite nanoparticles

The aim of the work was examination of the dielectric properties of a new type of polymer nanocomposites based on PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), or a copolymer P(VDF-HFP) with addition of ferrite nanoparticles. The addition of nanofillers leads not only to the formation of polar -phase of PVDF, which shows unique piro-, piezoand ferroelectric properties used in many applications, but also aff...

Exceptionally High Negative Electro-Caloric Effects of Poly(VDF–co–TrFE) Based Nanocomposites Tuned by the Geometries of Barium Titanate Nanofillers

Exceptionally high electro-caloric effects (ECEs) are observed in nanocomposites consisting of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene) (VDF–co–TrFE) copolymer and barium titanate (BT) nanoparticles and nanowires. The poly(VDF–co–TrFE) matrix nanocomposites containing 5% volume fraction of BT nanowires are found to exhibit a negative ECE temperature change as large as 12 ◦C or a refrigera...

Effect of Film Thickness on the Piezoelectric Properties of Lead Zirconate Titanate Thick Films Fabricated by Aerosol Deposition

Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) thick films with uniformly dispersed submicrometer pores were successfully fabricated on platinized silicon substrates with various thicknesses ranging from 1 lm to over 100 lm by aerosol deposition. Mixed powders of PZT and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) were deposited for initial fabrication of composite films. After burn-out of the PVDF phase from the composite ...
